Jakarta, September 25, 2025 - Atlaz, in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of DKI Jakarta, successfully held the finalization session of the English Escalate Book Review. The event was attended by Mrs. Viola Cempaka, M.Pd., Head of the Madrasah Education Division of DKI Jakarta, along with the division’s team leaders, principals of MAN across DKI Jakarta, and book reviewers from the MGMP Bahasa Inggris MTsN and MAN.

This event marks an important milestone in aligning Atlaz’ English Escalate textbook with the values and culture of madrasah education.

The initiative stemmed from strong interest among English teachers at MTsN and MAN who expressed their desire to use Atlaz books in their English classes. Responding to this, the MGMP Bahasa Inggris of DKI Jakarta collaborated with Atlaz to ensure that the learning materials are appropriate for the madrasah environment. A group of book reviewers from the MGMP was then formed to review Atlaz books and provide valuable feedback to make them more aligned with Islamic values.

From this collaborative process emerged the English Escalate Muslim Edition, a version of Atlaz’ English textbook specially designed for madrasah. The reviewers’ insights inspired significant improvements, including the alignment of lesson plans with the Love Based Curriculum and Deep Learning framework, the inclusion of Quranic verses and Hadiths in every unit, and more Islamic visual elements throughout the book.

Beyond textbook development, this partnership between Atlaz and Kemenag DKI Jakarta also paves the way for future collaborations, such as:

CEFR Proficiency Assessments to measure teachers’ and students’ English levels according to international standards.
IELTS and TOEFL ITP Prediction Tests to support madrasah schools in preparing students for academic and professional advancement.
Online teacher training programs to enhance English proficiency and teaching methodology.

Through this collaboration, Atlaz is committed to support madrasah institutions in nurturing an excellent generation—strong in faith, proficient in English, and ready to compete on a global stage.
